The Thunderbird Transit is a transportation service that is offered jointly through the Concho Valley Council of Governments and Reagan County.
  
Thunderbird Transit provides transportation for: 

• Grocery runs, In and Out of town
• Medical trips (non-emergency) In and Out of town
• Local Job transportation

There is  a nominal fee for the transportation service.  Round trip fare to San Angelo is $4.00, plus $2.00 per stop.  Round trip fare inside the city limits of Big Lake is $1.00, plus $1.00 per stop.  Transportation service is free to citizens who are 60 years and older.  Thunderbird Transit does accept Medicaid.  Payment is cash only, no checks accepted.  Their office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
